Overview : Compensation

  • 13 week short term agreement.
  • $65.00 an hour flat rate.
  • No benefits.

We have 7 operating rooms for orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases located in the HealthPlex tower at Norman Regional Hospital. Our nurses demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, autonomy, and critical thinking skills while caring for a wide range of patient types. We orient new nurses to each of our surgical areas, spending time with dedicated preceptors in each area. Upon completion of orientation, nurses will be able to circulate orthopedic, sports medicine, endocrinology, and ENT cases as well as a wide variety of other service lines. Responsibilities : Job Summary

RN essential functions include, but are not limited to :

Collaboration with other health professionals, assessment, analyzing assessment data,

Establishing goals, planning care strategy, establishing priorities of care, implementing care,

Delegating tasks safely, providing safe direct and indirect nursing care, evaluating responses to interventions, and

Performing additional nursing functions in accordance with knowledge and skills acquired beyond basic nursing preparation.

In collaboration with the physician you will provide total patient nursing care by assisting, leading, and / or directing care with a multi-disciplinary team of care providers.

Cares for all ages of patients; infant to geriatric.

Qualifications : Education

  • Diploma or Associate’s degree (ADN) required, Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), or Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
  • Experience

  • Previous experience in healthcare preferred.
  • (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience).

    Licensure / Certification

  • Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment.
