Field Service Representative - Industrial Water Treatment at Apex Water and Process Inc. We are seeking a Field Service Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing technical support and guidance to our clients within the water treatment industry. You will leverage your extensive knowledge and experience to resolve complex technical issues, ensure customer satisfaction, and contribute to the overall success of our field sales and service team. Essential Job Responsibilities
- Project professional image of the Company through positive attitude and punctual and reliable attendance.
- Adhere to all Company policies, including safety and quality policies and applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Keep vehicle in good operating condition and keep up with recommended maintenance as needed.
- Follow all legal safety regulations, as well as procedures set forth by both Company and customers.
- Participate in delivery and installation of systems at customer sites.
- Work onsite at customer locations to provide routine, day-to-day service to determine water treatment program is operating within optimal ranges and document findings in detailed reports.
- Local travel is expected and ongoing; travel approximately 5% outside assigned region.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge to provide sound water treatment recommendations to customers.
- Manage and place orders, track inventory & usage of product at each site, and serve as the general face of Apex to assigned customer base.
- Send service reports to Account Manager for each site visited.
- Send monthly rollup reports to Account Manager highlighting key points for each site.
- Adhere to and support all safety policies and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalentOne (1) year of experience in technical service in industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals industry, including knowledge of water treatment systems, such as filtration, disinfection and chemical dosingWorking knowledge of cooling tower systems, steam generation, and chilled / hot / process water closed-loop systemsMechanical and technical aptitudeAbility and willingness to use a hands-on approach to troubleshoot equipment issues and perform technical repairs, such as pump rebuildsStrong communication and customer service skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients and stakeholdersValid driver's license and willingness to abide by Company standards for operating a motor vehicleAbility to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability and willingness to physically provide service at customer facilities within a wide range of environments, including hot, loud industrial facilities as well as outdoor environments that may include exposure to sun, rain, wind, or other weather conditionsCommitment to supporting customers, which may include occasional availability after standard business hours (typically via phone) for urgent needsAbility to pass a respirator fit test and wear a half-or full-face respiratorMinimal overnight travel may be requiredPreferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other relevant field of studyTwo (2)+ years of experience in technical service in industrial water treatment or specialty chemicals industryPast experience operating and supporting reverse osmosis and other equipment systemsFamiliarity with water treatment industry regulations and standardsAdvanced certifications or training in water treatment technologiesAn offer of employment at Apex Water and Process is subject to a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen.
