Cogent is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Manual Machinist to join our dedicated team in Riverside, Missouri. If you're driven by the chance to directly impact organizational success and excited to share in the growth of an Employee-Owned Company , look no further!

Essential Responsibilities : (include the following; however, other duties may apply)

Operate manual machining equipment (lathes, mills, drill presses, hydraulic presses, saws) for precise fabrication , repair , and maintenance of machine parts and tooling
Accurately interpret CAD drawings, blueprints, and manuals
Fabricate components from metals, plastics, and composites to exact specifications
Service and repair rotating equipment commonly found in the water and wastewater industries . Frequently working under tight deadlines
Properly select, align, secure, and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines in a safe and responsible manner
Consistently meet quality standards, ensuring accuracy with precision measurement tools
Provide recommendations to optimize machining processes for efficiency and adaptability
Perform routine equipment maintenance and safety checks
Document precision quality repairs in our current reporting software

Qualifications & Skills :

Experience as a Manual Machinist

High mechanical aptitude with proficiency in precision measurement

Experience servicing pumps or rotating equipment is a strong plus

Ability to read CAD drawings and technical blueprints

Physically fit, able to lift up to 50 lbs; must pass pre-employment physical
