The Nurse Practitioner will provide high-quality medical care to patients in a correctional healthcare setting, including assessments, diagnoses, treatment plans, and patient education. This role will collaborate with the entire healthcare team to ensure comprehensive care delivery and will prescribe medications, perform procedures, and manage chronic conditions. The Nurse Practitioner will also maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies. How YOU can Make an Impact : Provide high-quality, evidence-based medical care to inmates in accordance with established policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines. Perform assessments, make diagnoses, and treat patients, including prescribing medication and ordering appropriate tests. Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information / history, upholding HIPAA regulations and medical ethics. Participate in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans and ensure they are followed in a timely manner. Participate in Call-by-Phone rotation as needed, including after-hours care, as directed by the facility or company requirements. Support staff development through guidance, mentorship, and ongoing education to promote a high standard of care. Promote good working relationships within the team and via other departments to enhance patient care and operational efficiency. Respect and adhere to the facility's safety, infection control, and operational policies, ensuring a safe and effective healthcare environment. What we Ask of YOU : A current, valid, and unrestricted CRNP issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Completion of an accredited graduate, post-graduate, or professional program in a clinical discipline (FNP, AGNP, ENP, or similar). Must hold (or be willing to obtain) active DEA registration. Experience in diagnosis, treatment planning, and providing healthcare services in a managed care or correctional facility setting is highly desired. Active CPR / BLS certificate required (American Heart Association / American Red Cross guideline approved) prior to start date.
