Are you passionate about helping businesses grow and connecting people to opportunities that make a real difference in your community? The Chamber is looking for an energetic and relationship-driven professional to join our team as a Membership Account Representative.
In this role, you'll serve as one of the Chamber's key ambassadors-building meaningful relationships with local businesses, sharing the many benefits of membership, and ensuring every new member feels welcomed and supported. You'll play an essential role in helping the Chamber achieve its membership goals, strengthen our local business community, and contribute to the economic vitality of our region.

What You'll Do
Actively identify and connect with businesses that would benefit from Chamber membership.
Share the value and benefits of joining the Chamber, helping prospective members understand how we can support their goals.
Guide new members through the onboarding process, ensuring they have a positive and engaging experience.
Maintain ongoing relationships with members to support retention, satisfaction, and renewal opportunities.
Offer sponsorship and investment opportunities to new and existing members as directed by leadership.
Meet or exceed established membership revenue goals as outlined in the Chamber's annual sales plan.
Represent the Chamber at networking events, meetings, and community functions.
Support the overall mission of the Chamber through teamwork, collaboration, and professionalism.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field - or equivalent experience in a related role.
Three or more years of experience in business development, sales, fundraising, or a similar field.
Proven ability to meet sales goals and deliver measurable results.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a friendly, confident approach.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Prior experience in a non-profit or membership-based organization is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Valid Alabama driver's license with an acceptable driving record and personal auto insurance.
Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends for Chamber events.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality, professionalism, and a positive attitude in all interactions.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
Ability to communicate effectively in person, on the phone, and when presenting to groups.
Comfortable standing for extended periods during events or meetings.
Ability to lift and transport items up to 20 pounds.
Independent mobility on various surfaces and locations.
Regular schedule of at least 8 hours per day, with additional hours as needed for events.
