The Internships at this site will run on a 10 week program schedule from May 18, 2026 July 24th, 2026. This is a paid, full time (40 hours / week) position at the AstraZeneca manufacturing facility located at 4601 Highway 62 East in Mt. Vernon, IN.
Over the course of the summer, each intern will perform department specific day to day activities as assigned by their mentor-supervisor. Each intern will also be assigned a key project of which they will be responsible for leading, executing, and reporting out to Site Leadership and staff. Internship mentors will guide and coach interns throughout the summer. Interns will also have the opportunity to job shadow and participate in various lunch and learns to gain a broad understanding of all functions at the Mt. Vernon site.

Business Operations
- Project Management Intern Support cross-functional teams in planning, tracking, and delivering key site initiatives. Learn how to manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communications.
- Learning & Development Intern Help design and deliver training programs that support employee growth and compliance. Gain exposure to instructional design, onboarding, and digital learning tools.
- Supply Chain Intern Contribute to the planning and coordination of materials, inventory, and logistics. Learn how medicines move from production to patients.
- Finance Intern Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. Gain hands-on experience with financial systems and decision-making processes.
Chemistry & Biology
Quality Control Intern Perform lab-based testing and support analytical methods to ensure product quality. Studying to complete Bachelor's degree or higher in an area related to the role.Candidates must have an expected graduation date set for after August 2026.Basic understanding of technical areas related to functional area of internship position.Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.US Work Authorization is required at time of application.Applicants must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa (e.g., CPT, H1-B, F-1 (OPT), TN, or other non-immigrant status). This role will not be providing CPT or OPT letters of support.Ability to report onsite to Mt. Vernon, IN 5 days a week. This role will prioritize local applicants from the Greater Evansville Metro Area, but can support a limited amount of non-local candidates with temporary housing at University of Evansville.Must have demonstrated ability to plan, implement, and achieve significant, complex goals and objectives.Must have experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
