Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Chattanooga, Tennessee (37404) Unit : 4east, Main Building Healthcare Setting : 30-bed Med / Surg unit Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 11 / 17 / 2025 – End : 2 / 16 / 2026) Nursing Shift : 12 Hour Nights (19 : 00-07 : 00) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1530 - $1640 Employment Type : Travel RN Dress Code : Navy Blue Scrubs Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee or compact state BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience Strong teamwork, compassion, collaboration, and communication skills Preferred experience with respiratory diseases, renal and GI illnesses, telemetry, CVCs, indwelling catheters, and heparin drips Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care in a busy medical-surgical unit Utilize Meditech documentation system for accurate clinical records Collaborate with clinical coordinators, unit secretaries, patient care technicians (PCTs), and case management Manage patient ratios of 1 : 6, ensuring safe and effective nursing care Float within the hospital as needed per rotation policy Engage patients using communication boards to enhance healthcare experience Participate in weekend and holiday shift rotations Comply with hospital and unit-specific guidelines and policies Discover rewarding healthcare jobs in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
