Position Overview
We are working with a leading multidisciplinary design and engineering firm to bring on an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager as the team is experiencing a large amount of growth. This role focuses on delivering innovative HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection system designs for commercial, educational, and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to manage projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage mechanical design projects, ensuring quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction.
- Design and oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems with an emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainable solutions.
- Coordinate daily with clients, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary teams to address project needs.
- Guide projects through all phases—from initial planning and design to construction documentation and field inspections.
- Research and apply building codes, LEED principles, and industry best practices.
- Manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining precision and organization.
- Prepare and review project schedules, reports, and design documents.
- Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and load calculation software to develop and review designs.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida strongly preferred.10–15 years of experience in HVAC and fire protection system design, including both new builds and retrofits.Proven experience in commercial, educational, and institutional projects.Proficiency with load calculation software and building design platforms such as AutoCAD or Revit.Demonstrated project management experience, with the ability to lead teams and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to travel locally and regionally as needed.Benefits
