Role Summary

Ourisman Automotive Group is seeking a skilled Body Shop Technician to join our team and perform high-quality repairs on damaged vehicles. The ideal candidate will have expertise in auto body repair, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to restoring vehicles to their pre-accident condition. As a Body Shop Technician, you will work with a range of tools and techniques to repair and refinish vehicle exteriors, ensuring that all repairs meet safety standards and customer expectations.

More about the role

• Inspect vehicles to assess the extent of damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
• Perform repairs on vehicle bodies, including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and welding.
• Sand, grind, and prime damaged areas before applying paint or refinishing materials.
• Apply paint, clear coats, and other finishes to restore vehicles to their original condition, matching paint colors and textures as required.
• Replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, and doors with new or refurbished components.
• Use frame straightening equipment to restore the structural integrity of vehicles.
• Perform repairs following collision damage, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety regulations.
• Occasionally explain repair processes to customers and provide updates on job status if needed.
• Accurately document all repairs, parts used, and labor time for each job.
