Overview
Food Server - El Torito, at Xperience Restaurant Group (XRG).
Pay Rate : $16.50 / Hour, plus tips opportunity. This role involves welcoming guests, taking orders, and ensuring timely delivery of food and beverages to guests in a full-service restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide guests with accurate and thorough information regarding menu items, pricing, and allergen information
- Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business
- Take and enter orders into POS system promptly and accurately
- Ensure all food and drinks are served immediately and according to specifications; replenish stock as needed during the shift
- Move furniture as directed by management (tables, chairs, bar stools, banquettes, bar tables, etc.)
- Respond to guest concerns / complaints and correct errors or resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude; escalate to management when necessary
- Comply with safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws
- Maintain company safety and sanitation standards
- Prepare guest checks through POS; process guest payments by cash, credit card, venue comps, and other tender types
- Collect required signatures from guest and promptly close guest checks
- Ensure accurate accounting of all monies and follow banking procedures; sign cash-out slips legibly
- Ensure complete and proper checkout procedures
- Clean spills immediately and dispose of trash properly
- Inform management of any complaint, comment, or incident
- Complete nightly / weekly and opening / closing duties as assigned
- Record and report any equipment failure or safety hazards to management
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma preferredProof of eligibility to work in the United StatesValid Driver's License21+ years of agePossession of or ability to possess all state required work cardsMinimum of two (2) years related experienceExperience with POS systemsFamiliarity with beer and spiritsProper lifting techniquesGuest relationsSanitation and safetySafe alcohol serviceFull-service restaurant operationsAbility to communicate effectively and assertively in English, verbally and in writingWorking Conditions
