Job Title : Senior Pipe Stress Engineer

Job Summary : Perform pipe stress analysis using AutoPipe. Coordinate with Pipe Support Engineers and Layout personnel as required.

Major Responsibilities :

• Perform pipe stress analysis of systems in accordance with ASME B31.3 Code.
• Model piping systems to verify flexibility, stability, and qualification of equipment nozzle loads.
• Work closely with layout personnel and pipe support engineers to deliver a quality and cost-effective design. Coordinate with other disciplines and vendors as required.
• Work knowledge of dynamic analysis and ASME B31.3 or B31.1 Codes.
• Evaluate, select, and apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria using independent judgment.
• Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
• Analyze problems with conflicting design requirements, sketch ideas and possible solutions.
• Analyze and report on suitability of unconventional materials, techniques, and / or difficult coordination requirements.
• Coordinate plant design engineering efforts in assigned areas with specialty groups, engineering disciplines, client, vendor, contractors, construction, and other functional groups.
