Quality Supervisor
Lasko Products, a trusted leader in the design and manufacture of portable fans and heaters for over a century, is seeking a Quality Inspection Supervisor to join our Ft. Worth, TX team. This is a hands-on, first-shift role focused on ensuring our manufacturing processes meet the highest standards of quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Position Summary
The Quality Supervisor plays a critical role in maintaining and improving product quality throughout the manufacturing process. This position leads a team of quality inspectors and collaborates closely with department managers, engineers, and production teams to implement quality control procedures, conduct inspections, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate a team of quality inspectors.
- Develop and maintain quality control standards, procedures, and protocols.
- Establish inspection and sampling procedures, and determine appropriate testing equipment.
- Collaborate with the Quality Manager, Quality Engineers, and manufacturing teams to execute plant-wide quality initiatives.
- Identify and communicate quality issues promptly and effectively.
- Oversee inspection and testing of materials, components, and finished products.
- Conduct routine inspections across Molding, Assembly, and Press / Paint departments.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and quality control activities.
- Prepare and present reports on quality metrics and improvement opportunities.
- Manage nonconforming material processes and support the Material Review Board.
- Assist in resolving customer complaints and internal quality issues.
- Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Promote a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Required :
35 years of experience in quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.Strong leadership and team management skills.Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., SPC, FMEA, CAPA).Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing).Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Preferred :
Experience in plastic injection molding and metal stamping.Previous supervisory or leadership experience.Physical Requirements
Regularly required to talk or hear.Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands, and reach with arms.Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment exposed to dust, odors, and noise.
