Summary : \n\nAs a Registered Nurse Float I, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate and professional nursing care to ensure the comfort and well-being of patients. Your responsibilities will include preparing necessary equipment and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments. You will administer prescribed medications, perform dressings changes, clean wounds, and monitor patient vital signs, while also documenting observations and maintaining accurate records of patient care, conditions, reactions, and progress.\n\nResponsibilities : \n
- Exhibit expected competencies as part of the OneCHRISTUS framework : Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders.\n
- Provide patient care by applying the nursing process, including thorough assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients, in alignment with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice.\n
- Address the complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and their families, adapting care to their individual circumstances.\n
- Administer medications and treatments following established protocols; monitor patients for side effects and the efficacy of their treatment.\n
- Document patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and promptly.\n
- Assess the educational needs of patients and their families; provide relevant information and resources to support their understanding and care.\n\nRequirements : \n
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with skills in assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care.\n
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.\n
- Current Louisiana State RN License.\n
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.\n
- ACLS certification required.\n
- PALS certification required.\n\nWork Schedule : \n\n7PM - 7AM\n\nWork Type : \n\nPer Diem As Needed
