Operating Room RN Job Details Location : Aberdeen, South Dakota 57401 Assignment Length : 13-week travel nursing contract (10 / 27 / 2025 – 1 / 26 / 2026) Healthcare Setting : Acute Care, Operating Room Shifts : 8-hour day shifts; call rotation (1-2 days / week, every 2nd-4th weekend, rotating holidays) Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Estimated Weekly Salary : $2420 - $2600 Orientation : Comprehensive hospital and department orientation Registered Nurse Qualifications 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience Active South Dakota RN license or compact state eligibility Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS certification preferred Strong organizational, communication, and note-taking skills Experience with Epic charting and Pyxis medication systems preferred OR RN Responsibilities Circulate and prepare for surgical cases using preference card system Efficiently set up, clean, and turnover operating rooms Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care Assist in surgical specialties : general surgery, OB / GYN, urology, orthopedics, podiatry, ENT, cardiovascular, bariatrics Operate and maintain surgical equipment (arthroscopic pumps, shavers, cautery machines, laser, fracture table, c-arm x-ray) Float within perioperative department (pre-op, post-op, outpatient services, PACU) as needed Participate in shared call rotation with other Registered Nurses Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career with this Operating Room RN job in Aberdeen, South Dakota!
