Oconus Project Manager Federal Construction
My client is a General Contractor based in the Bowie, MD area who is looking for someone to work on government projects. They have specialized in private and government markets for over 25 years and have an extensive pipeline of projects going forward. Their average projects cost is $50M+ and average project size is 80,000 sq ft. They provide an extremely comprehensive benefits package and provide annual bonuses up to 20%.
Job Description
- Lead and manage federal construction projects overseas from initiation through closeout.
- Coordinate with U.S.-based and international teams, subcontractors, and government representatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal contract requirements, security protocols, and safety standards.
- Oversee budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and reporting to ensure on-time and within-budget delivery.
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact for all project matters.
- Provide leadership to on-site staff and subcontractors, fostering teamwork and accountability.

The Successful Applicant
5-7 years of proven Project Management experience on federal construction projects (OCONUS experience highly preferred).Strong knowledge of federal contracting requirements, processes, and compliance.Ability and willingness to travel and remain overseas for extended periods (multi-month commitments).Must possess an active Security Clearance (required due to the nature of the work).Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office SuiteWhat's on Offer
