Manager, Operations
The Manager, Operations will play a key role in the management, training, and development of staff and implementation of short and long-term strategic processes. The Manager, Operations will oversee all aspects of the operations staff, primarily the drivers, maintenance, and dispatch staff to ensure that the daily operations and needs of the client are effective, efficient, and are completed based on contractual requirements. The Manager, Operations will strive to ensure the safest and highest quality transportation experience for our passengers while operating within the budget of the contract.
This position is contingent on the award of contract.
Location : Concord, NC
What You'll Do :
- Oversight of drivers, dispatchers, and operations employees and their daily performance, to ensure safe, efficient, effective operation, including scheduling, expenditures, attendance and discipline
- Perform monthly safety meetings
- Training, retraining and updates to policies, procedures and safety guidelines
- Perform driver evaluations as required by contract, as well as ADA, DOT, and FTA requirements
- Communicate regularly with client to ensure positive productive relationship, and to assist them with updates, information, and system upgrades as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned or required
- Monitor performance of direct reports and provide coaching and guidance
What You'll Need :
Experience, Education & Certifications :
Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent combination of education and experience) in a related field5+ years of experience in transit managementPrevious management experience in the Para-Transit or livery industriesPrevious experience working with senior citizens or persons with disabilitiesExperience supervising hourly personnel in a passenger transportation environmentExperience training in a classroom and behind the wheel settingMust possess a valid driver's licenseSkills :
Strong problem solving skillsAbility to understand and administer disciplineKnowledge of basic safety and training proceduresMap reading, two-way radio communication and driving experience preferably in a demand responsive service environmentAbility to maintain high level of confidentialityRegular attendance is requiredEven Better If You Have...
