Overview
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the leading fleet maintenance companies in the US, is looking to hire a skilled Automotive Technician in Covington, GA. The Automotive Technician is responsible for the timely repair and maintenance of light to medium duty gas and diesel fleet vehicles to ensure a safe and efficient operation. This role may entail working as the only technician at this shift time. Computer competency is needed to maintain work orders and order parts. Must have a CDL B for purposes of test driving vehicles being maintained.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday 3 : 00 pm-11 : 00 pm
Pay
$28.00-32.00 / hr (depending on experience)

Responsibilities
Prepare vehicle records and report both manually and on a computerPerform repairs and preventative maintenance to light and medium duty vehiclesPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare required safety documentationComply with applicable laws / regulations, as well as company policies / proceduresInspect and perform work on the under parts of vehiclesAccess any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform maintenanceMove parts to and from the job site and remove or install parts on vehiclesInteract with clients through email and phone as necessaryPerform other duties as requiredQualifications
At least 5 years' experience performing vehicle maintenance or possess auto or diesel technology diploma from an accredited technical schoolMust have valid Driver's LicenseProficient computer skills including Excel, Word, Fleet Management Systems, and EmailStrong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to operate a manual transmission vehicle to determine proper operationMust provide own hand tools & toolboxWorking Conditions
