Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) at an elementary school setting in Gastonia, NC. This role provides comprehensive speech therapy services across multiple elementary schools and itinerant locations within the district, serving a diverse caseload.
The position requires a valid SLP certification (CCC preferred) and experience in healthcare, pediatrics, teletherapy, and school-based settings. Candidates currently holding a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) credential are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities include delivering individual and group therapy, conducting assessments, developing and implementing IEPs, collaborating with educators and families, and potentially supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
Key qualifications and experience :
This role involves working approximately 37.5 hours weekly throughout the contract term, which starts ASAP and extends through May 21, 2025. Therapy services will be delivered at assigned schools including extension classrooms and itinerant sites. The district provides indirect administrative time and pays for team meetings. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom and candidates must submit transcripts prior to interview.
