American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring 1 year of Level I trauma experience, IN or compact RN license, and flexibility for call and floating.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a large hospital OR suite covering general, plastics, GYN, ENT, trauma, neuro, ortho, GU, colorectal, and robotics casesCore 3 & 4 OR units with an average daily census of 70-80 cases and 21 operating roomsShift schedule is 3x12 hour days from 7 : 00-19 : 30Six on-call shifts required within a 6-week periodFloating within hospital or to affiliate hospitals is requiredUses Cerner EMR; Cerner experience required or must be willing to learnScrubs are providedResponsible for circulating and assisting in a variety of surgical procedures excluding CV and transplantFirst-time travelers are welcome to applyMust be well-rounded in most OR specialties and able to float as neededAll OR RNs must complete required online modules pre-startCandidates must work at least 2 of the 3 major holidays during the contractReturn candidates must have a 12-month separation if previously a perm or PRN employeeFree parking available on siteLocal Indiana candidates accepted for this surgical services role; note local pay adjustment applies\n \n Requirements\n
Active IN or compact RN license in hand prior to start dateMinimum of 3 years OR RN experience, including at least 1 year in a Level I trauma environmentCurrent BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)ACEN or CCNE-accredited nursing degreeCirculating experience in the OR is required; scrub experience is preferredMust provide 2 supervisor references for considerationNo pending licenses accepted; license must be active and valid at submission\n Benefits\n
