The Role

We are seeking an experienced vCIO to serve as a trusted advisor to our clients and to drive alignment between business goals and technology strategy. The vCIO will lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs), manage IT roadmaps, and ensure clients gain full value from their partnership with Huntington Technology.

This role works closely with our Technology Alignment Manager (TAM), Operations Director, and Customer Success Director to deliver proactive, strategic, and measurable outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead client-facing vCIO activities, including annual planning and quarterly business reviews, using MyITProcess as the standards library and reporting tool.
• Translate business needs into technology strategy, budgets, and roadmaps for SMB clients (20100 users).
• Partner with the TAM to assess environments, identify risks, and align client systems with best practices.
• Collaborate with Operations and Customer Success leadership to ensure service delivery supports strategic goals.
• Present technology and security initiatives in a way that resonates with non-technical business leaders.
• Track client INDX scores and other success metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain awareness of compliance, security, and business continuity trends that affect our client industries.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT leadership, consulting, or vCIO / TAM experience within an MSP or SMB-focused IT environment.
• Strong business acumen : able to link IT decisions directly to client growth, efficiency, and risk management.
• Skilled communicator with the ability to present to executives and owners.
• Hands-on experience with MSP toolsets (Datto, Autotask PSA, RMM, ITGlue, M365, cybersecurity stacks) is a plus.
• Familiarity with MyITProcess or similar IT standards / QBR tools is preferred.
