The Software Business Area within the Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principle Technical Editor / Writer to join our diverse and talented material development group to support our customers. As a Principal Technical Editor / Writer you will be responsible for writing, rewriting and / or editing technical documents such as technical procedure manuals, user manuals, programming manuals, service manuals, operational specifications, and related technical publications. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively to express technical specifications and instructions to a wide range of audiences and acquire subject knowledge by interviewing product developers, observing performance of production methods, referring to and understanding technical specifications, engineering drawings, and trade journals. to communicate clearly and effectively technical specifications and instructions to Subject Matter Experts. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama without remote work possibility.

Primary Level Salary Range : $79,100.00 - $118,700.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
