Job Summary

The Supervisor Ramp & Passenger Services includes managing and coordinating airport activities for Ramp Services and Passenger Services. Responsibilities include monitoring work quality, directing personnel, advising on staffing, coaching and training, ensuring compliance with company rules and contractual agreements, and maintaining budgetary controls and manning requirements. The role may involve communication with Airport Board officials and customers. Proactively monitor the work of assigned employees to ensure safety, security, quality, customer satisfaction, and employee relations standards. Ensure operations comply with the corporate security program and TSA legislation, and undertake required company audits. Ensure site-specific security plans are understood and implemented; staff must display relevant company IDs and badges. The scope varies with operation size and business line.

Ramp Service Functions

Includes loading and unloading cargo (mail, express, baggage, freight, company material) on and off aircraft; transporting cargo between terminals and aircraft; ramp transfers; receiving, delivering and handling freight and materials; processing export at designated docks; baggage handling; completing forms related to duties; cleaning and servicing cabin interiors and furnishings; de-icing aircraft and related operations; connecting / removing ground power and ground start units; exterior aircraft cleaning as needed; routine cleaning of work areas and monitoring facility security; routine automotive servicing and cleaning of equipment as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform all aspects of airport operations, including ticketing transactions, baggage check-in, issuing boarding passes, and dispatching flights safely and timely.
• Handle baggage service functions such as filing loss, damage, and pilferage claims as needed.
• Provide efficient and professional customer service and resolve passenger problems.
• Coordinate with all departments to meet operational needs (catering, fueling, maintenance).
• Act as company representative when assigned.
• Report to work regularly and on time.
• Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Perform basic arithmetic and data interpretation (units of measure, bar graphs).
• Identify problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Interpret technical instructions and handle multiple variables.
