Contract Details

  • Position Type : Contract
  • Contract Duration : 3.5 months
  • Start : 09 / 08 / 2025
  • End : 12 / 31 / 2025
  • Pay Rate : $80–$105 / hr
  • Shift / Hours : Onsite in Fairfield 1–2 times per week; local travel 1–3 times per month to sites in San Ramon, Oakland, or Sacramento. No mileage or travel reimbursement.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Content Designer – IT Service Management (ITSM) to create engaging, user-friendly digital content that promotes ITSM adoption across the enterprise. This role blends content design, UX writing, and ITIL knowledge to simplify IT concepts, improve user experience, and build a feedback-driven culture. The successful candidate will design intuitive communication platforms, foster adoption of ITSM practices, and ensure employees feel heard and supported.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Engagement

  • Design and publish engaging digital content (web pages, guides, infographics) to communicate ITSM value.
  • Develop a consistent visual and narrative style to simplify ITIL processes.
  • Translate complex IT concepts into accessible and actionable stories.
  • Suggestion Box Development

  • Build and maintain a digital platform for employee feedback and ideas.
  • Implement categorization and routing to align with ITIL process areas (Incident, Change, Problem, Request, Knowledge).
  • Partner with IT teams to ensure transparency and effective follow-up.
  • Collaboration & Alignment

  • Partner with ITSM process owners, UX, and communications teams for consistency.
  • Monitor engagement metrics and feedback trends to optimize content and platform usability.
  • Act as a bridge between IT operations, business stakeholders, and end users to achieve adoption goals.
  • Required Experience

  • 3+ years in content design, digital communications, or UX writing
  • Portfolio showing ability to simplify complex topics into clear, engaging content
  • Familiarity with ITSM / ITIL frameworks
  • Experience with web content management systems (CMS), low-code tools, or form builders
  • Strong analytical skills for categorizing and interpreting feedback data
  • Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Experience designing content for enterprise IT or digital transformation projects
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow, SharePoint, or Microsoft Power Platform
  • Exposure to automation workflows, AI / ML tagging, or forms routing logic
