About the Role

We’re looking for a Manager of Application Development who can lead by example—balancing technical leadership with hands-on coding. In this player / coach role, you’ll mentor developers, guide architecture, and contribute directly to building scalable Java applications and database solutions. If you’re passionate about writing clean, efficient code while shaping a high-performing Agile team, this could be your next big move.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and mentor a team of software developers in an Agile environment.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable Java applications and database solutions.
  • Contribute directly as a development lead—writing, reviewing, and optimizing code.
  • Manage the full application development lifecycle with a focus on quality and timeliness.
  • Oversee release management, including deployments, version control, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, Product, and Support teams to deliver complete solutions.
  • Champion best practices in source control, testing, and documentation.
  • Evaluate new technologies and frameworks to improve team performance.

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of software development experience (Java + SQL databases).
  • 2+ years of leadership experience guiding technical teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes deployments.
  • Strong Agile methodology expertise, including sprint planning and velocity tracking.
  • Familiarity with CI / CD pipelines, Git workflows, and DevOps practices.
  • Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Bonus : Experience in healthcare or financial software.
