Compensation Estimated Weekly Salary : $1910 - $1960 Travel RN Job Details Location : Akron, Ohio 44304 (Ohio nursing jobs) Unit : 17-bed Medical / Surgical Telemetry (Med / Surg Tele) unit Position Type : Travel RN (travel nursing, contract nursing) Assignment Length : 10 weeks (Start : 10 / 5 / 2025 – End : 12 / 13 / 2025) Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Weekly Hours : 36 Patient Ratio : 1 : 5 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license with Nursys verification (Ohio RN license preferred) Minimum 2 years of recent experience as a Med / Surg Telemetry RN Recent charge nurse experience within the last 2 years (must be listed on resume) Current ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required Experience with EPIC EMR within the past 12 months Proficient in blood draws and IV starts Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Willingness to float to other hospital units as needed Interview required; please provide your availability Maximum of 7 days requested time off (RTO) permitted Travel RN Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a Med / Surg Telemetry setting Monitor and assess patients with epilepsy and medical overflow needs Perform blood draws and initiate IVs as necessary Serve as charge nurse on select shifts, offering leadership and clinical support Float to other nursing units within the healthcare facility as required Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel RN in Akron, Ohio, and take the next step in your nursing career!
