Director, Data & Analytics - Finance
This role will be based in San Francisco or Mountain View, CA.

The Financial Data team is part of the Center for Operations Innovation within the CFO organization. We design, govern, and scale the data ecosystem that powers LinkedIn's financial decision-making, reporting, automation, and analytics. Our team includes data governance experts, master data management specialists, and data foundations & data triaging professionals who partner closely with Finance Technology, Engineering, and business leaders to ensure financial and corporate data is trusted, standardized, and ready for action.
We are seeking a Director of Data & Analytics to lead the Financial Data team. This leader will own building our central finance data team, partnering with Engineering to re-architect our financial data ecosystem & financial data products, setting up a master data management & data governance program, supporting ongoing efforts to improve our financial data foundations & triaging, and consistently finding better ways to serve the data needs of our business partners & stakeholders. You'll work cross-functionally to ensure our data is consistent, secure, and optimized for analytics, reporting, and automation - enabling faster insights and better decisions across LinkedIn.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and build out the central Finance Data team.
- Define and execute the financial and corporate data strategy, ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture, analytics priorities, and business goals.
- Oversee data governance and MDM programs, including policies, standards, and processes for core financial entities (chart of accounts, cost centers, suppliers, customers, products) and metrics (revenue, bookings, HC, expenses).
- Partner with Finance Technology to design and maintain data models, pipelines, and semantic / application layers.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to drive improvements in core data that hits the General Leger
- Ensure financial data complies with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with Finance, Engineering, IT, and Data Science to integrate and standardize financial data across systems.
- Enable automation, AI, and analytics initiatives by ensuring high-quality, governed data is readily available.
- Act as a senior thought leader and change agent for financial data management across the enterprise.
Basic Qualifications :
12+ years of experience in analytics, data science, data engineering, or similar technical discipline.10+ years of experience utilizing data manipulation languages for insight extraction (e.g., SQL, R, or Python).5+ years of experience leading high-performing teams.Bachelor's degree in finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.Preferred Qualifications :
Deep expertise in data governance, master data management, and enterprise data architecture.Strong knowledge of financial systems, ERP platforms, and financial data models.Proven ability to drive data initiatives across functions and influence senior stakeholders.Ability to work in a global, complex organization with complex legacy architecture, multiple ERPs and reporting systems.Hands-on exposure to modern data platforms, cloud data warehouses, and BI / semantic layers.Familiarity with automation, AI / ML, and advanced analytics applications in Finance.Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and risk management frameworks.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for executive audiences.Proven success in building partnerships across Finance, Engineering, Technology functions, and other business functions.Master's degree or Advanced Degree in a related technical discipline.Suggested Skills :

The pay range for this role is $173,000 to $280,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and / or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
