Established CPA Firm is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager / Tax Partner to join their team to lead and oversee client engagements.

This role will be worked out of the Firms Union County, NJ office

Starting salary DOE plus great benefits - $175K - $250K

Hybrid schedule (2-3 days a week in office)

This role requires strong technical tax expertise, proven leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple engagements and client relationships effectively. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of mentoring staff while ensuring timely and accurate delivery of tax services.

Key Responsibilities

"    Manage all phases of tax engagements, including planning, execution, and completion.

"    Oversee and review complex tax returns to ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance.

"    Identify and resolve tax issues through research and collaboration with Partners.

"    Supervise and mentor tax staff and seniors; provide guidance and support for professional development.

"    Maintain strong client relationships and serve as the primary contact for technical tax matters.

"    Monitor workflow, assign tasks, and ensure tax work is completed on time and within budget.

"    Conduct technical tax research and prepare clear, concise memos.

"    Stay informed on changes in tax laws and industry regulations.

Qualifications

"    Bachelor's degree in Accounting required along with a CPA designation.

"    Minimum of 8 years of tax experience.

"    Experience with ProSystem Tax and ProSystem Engagement preferred.

"    Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

"    Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.

"    Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and developing junior staff
