Job Summary
Plays a vital role in the development, improvement, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and methods used to produce products within the medical, dental, and animal health markets. Utilizes knowledge of basic circuit design, data analysis, test and production equipment capabilities, and quality control standards.
Location and Work Arrangement
This role is expected to be on-site in Versailles, Ohio, 5 days a week. This is not a remote position.
Essential Duties
- Modify, maintain, or repair electrical, electronic, or mechanical components, equipment, or systems to ensure proper functioning.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement electromechanical designs in industrial or other settings.
- Create and interpret basic electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Analyze and plan workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow; design layout of electrical and test equipment for efficiency.
- Apply foundational knowledge to analyze test results and troubleshoot root causes of failures in electrical systems.
- Communicate within the team and escalate issues to management when needed.
- Consult with internal and external resources to determine specifications of equipment, materials, and parts to enhance and solve problems.
- Evaluate products from a manufacturing perspective based on specifications and quality standards specific to electrical and software systems.
- Follow best practices, participate in discussions, meetings, and brainstorming sessions; make decisions within assigned tasks under guidance and escalate appropriately.
- Identify and collaborate on improvements to reduce costs, increase quality, and ensure repeatability, often by applying equipment for data collection or automation.
- Document and maintain work instructions.
- Follow industry standards and regulations for quality, safety, and performance.
- Learns new and established technical tools and methods.
- Use a structured approach to problem-solving to improve and innovate production processes.
- Implement solutions, identify and raise project risks, and contribute as a team member.
- Write and execute technical documentation such as verification and validation protocols, CAPAs, and quality alerts.
- Maintain product database by writing computer programs and entering data.
Secondary Duties
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to co-ops.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not provided. Not suitable for individuals requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
Skills and Competencies
Strong analytical and communication skills (written & verbal).Understanding of testing equipment, fixture, and process design.Familiarity with engineering tools and methods.Problem-solving skills to find root causes and propose solutions.Experience with Microsoft Office and design software.Basic understanding of product design methods, analog / digital circuits, power systems, microcontrollers, and signal processing.Supervisory Responsibilities
