We are seeking enthusiastic Diagnostic Imaging Technicians who wish to broaden their expertise in radiology including x-ray, CT, MRI, and ultrasound technologies. Responsibilities
Assist and interact with patients in the radiology departmentVerify patient identity using two identifiersTransport patients from inpatient units and the emergency department to and from radiologyGreet patients, families, and visitors in the radiology areaMaintain communication between patients and radiology staffPrepare patients for exams and escort to exam roomsPosition and immobilize patients for examsAssist radiologists and technologists in acquiring quality examsAssist with minor procedures and contrast administration tasksAssist radiologist with interventional procedures and wet readingsCompile exams and prepare for reading by the radiologistAttend to care of documents relating to the patientPerform related tasks to support operations of the radiology departmentPrepare exam rooms, stock and clean rooms after examsStock supplies and linens; maintain changing areasProcess requests for radiology films; ensure exams are entered correctly and trackedAdhere to JCAHO and safety standards and infection control proceduresQualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent1 to 2 years specialized or technical training, or equivalentPhysical Demands : lift / carry up to 50 pounds; push / pull up to 50 poundsEqual Opportunity
