Pay Information

$3,167 per week

About The Position

  • This position functions in the Department of Interventional Radiology as an integral member of our team approach to patient care.
  • The Interventional Radiology Technologist, in collaboration with physicians and nurses, strives to provide high quality care to every patient coming through the unit.
  • Daily assignments vary due to the range of procedures that may be completed from central line placements to embolizations and strokes.
  • The patient population varies from neonates to geriatrics adding another unique layer to the care provided in the unit.
  • The IR Technologist provides direct patient care using medical imaging techniques to help the Interventionalist in diagnosis and / or treatment.
  • Provides assistance with radiographic procedures to demonstrate vascular and non-vascular structures for interpretation and / or therapeutic intervention.
  • Delivers appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.
  • Ensures the radiation safety for all patients as well as the other team members involved in the procedure.

Job Requirements

  • Required :
  • 2 years of experience in the operation of radiologic equipment or an equivalent combination of specialized training and experience.
  • Proven radiologic technologist knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • OBMI
  • ARRT
  • BLS
