Capability Manager
Genesis10 is seeking a Capability Manager Lead for a 3 month contract position with our healthcare services client. This is a hybrid opportunity located in Eden Prairie, MN. Compensation : $62.00 - 67.00 per hour W2, depending on skill and experience level.
The Capability Manager is responsible for implementing operational business requirements - including technology needs - to ensure optimal operational design. This role aligns business and / or product strategy with effective design and ongoing management of the capability portfolio across the full lifecycle to drive business-specific or cross-enterprise impact. This role will work directly with our Health Care Company Provider Digital Transformation Capability team and be aligned to client's portal cross enterprise work streams. Key Focus Areas :
- Prioritizing initiatives and capabilities based on product value that drive to Product Owner led Agile Scrum activities
- Drive stakeholder requirements discussions to determine who, what, when, where, and why the work needs to be done
- Documenting current and future state processes
- Driving detailed requirements for business technology initiatives and capabilities
- Partner with technology teams to drive to a solution intent
- Leading stakeholder meetings
- Mentor and assist Product Owner with questions during refinement
- Drive successful tech delivery timelines using AHA and Rally
- Manage the AHA backlog
- Demonstrating curiosity to deeply understand the work being asked and prioritize accordingly to drive the most value
- Support change management and enablement activities
- Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies throughout the capability lifecycle
- Champion continuous improvement by soliciting feedback, analyzing outcomes, and recommending enhancements to processes and capabilities
- Gather and analyze stakeholder feedback post-implementation to measure satisfaction and inform future initiatives
- Ensure all capability initiatives comply with organizational governance, regulatory, and data privacy standards.
This position is critical for enabling successful external product delivery and / or internal business function performance. The Capability Manager represents and cascades the vision and scope definition to working PO and Scrum teams, supports the prioritization and sizing of initiatives and capabilities, and ensures alignment with business strategy and new opportunities. Primary Responsibilities :
Prioritize capabilities and requirements based on product value and business impactCollaborate with stakeholders to capture and clarify requirementsDocument current and future state processes for business technology capabilitiesLead and facilitate stakeholder meetings, including Agile ceremoniesEnsure operational readiness during execution phasesAnalyze data and business models to inform prioritization and decision-makingAct as a key liaison between cross-functional teams and operational partnersSupport the translation of business needs into actionable requirementsResolves problems, and provides guidance to team membersManages tech delivery timelines and schedules of the capability requirementsWorks across Health Care Company and Optum based product and tech delivery teamsSupport the translation of capabilities to features for the Product Owner and Scrum teams to refineManages to timelines and schedules of the product requirementsEnsure complete operational readiness during the execution phase of Implementations alongside our business stakeholdersWork cross-functionally with teams broadly across the enterprise to engage with business resources, understand complex business models, and analyze data for performance outcomesAct as a key liaison between the cross functional team and operational partnersMaintain documentation standards and templates for all program artifacts, including process flows, requirements, and executive summariesEstablish clear escalation paths and decision rights for capability-related issuesDefine key performance indicators (KPIs) and success metrics for capability initiativesRequired Skills :
Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience3+ years of experience in Agile methodology and leading stakeholder meetings3+ years of experience with healthcare, managed care and / or health insurance data analysis, business operations, or application developmentStrong curiosity and analytical skills to understand and prioritize workExcellent communication, organization, and time management skillsAbility to influence and drive performance in both direct and matrixed environmentsExperience in documenting requirements and business processesCross-functional leadership and initiativeStrong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving abilities, including the ability to analyze, monitor, and create solutions using dataExcellent prioritization, organization, communication, and time management skillsExperience and ability to influence and drive performance both in a direct and matrixed environmentProficient EQ expertise with the ability to facilitate a cross functional team through process discussion and impact analysisAble to set priorities and demonstrate sound judgment in handling complex situationsExperience in developing program artifacts, including use cases, process flows, executive summaries, staffing analysis, tee shirt size assessments, system diagrams, and KPIsExcellent presentation skills, with the ability to simplify and communicate complex data to executive teamsDesired Skills :
