We are looking to hire a Sonographer! As a Sonographer at MercyOne, you will maintain all standards of the Sonography Area established by the Department of Radiology.

• Schedules and completes all Ultrasound / Vascular procedures as described in the policy and procedure manual; assists in the coordination of procedures with the radiologist and interpreting physicians.
• Accurately identifies and transports patients to and from the department.
• Assumes responsibility for image management (PACS) and completes department related Hospital Information System (HIS) and Radiology Information System (RIS) functions.
• Responds to telephone inquiries and provides accurate information to customers of all age groups.
• Instructs other radiological technologists, Sonographers and students in Ultrasound / Vascular procedures. Schedule :
• Part Time; 20 hours / week; Day Shift General Requirements :
• Must be board eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required at hire / transfer. Must be certified as a RDMS in ABD, OB / GYN, Breast or RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist).
• May be required to alternate shifts.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License if performing as Mobile Sonographer
• Must be able to read, write and / or speak English.
• Must provide proof of Basic Life Support ( BLS Provider -American Heart Association or Professional Rescuer-American Red Cross) prior to employment or within 30 days of hire and maintains current status.
