ProKatchers is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a travel job in Atascadero, California.

Work Experience :

  • The physical therapist implements patient rehabilitationprograms to help improve patient mobility, function, and strength.
  • Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individualswith disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • Hold license as aPhysical Therapist in the state in which you intend to workMaintain and update PTskills and certifications as necessary
  • Evaluate and treatpatients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs
  • Utilize ElectronicMedical Record to complete evaluations, reports and discharge summaries forpatient filesGuide & monitorpatient care in all aspects of treatment and follow-up
  • Supervise PT Assistantsand Aides regarding all aspects of patient care
  • Communicate withphysicians and other persons to insure quality patient care
  • Correspond withco-workers & other offices via phone, fax & email
  • Be responsible foraccurate patient chart documentation & follow-up re : prescriptions, testresults, authorizations etc.
  • Make sure patients arecomfortable and answer questions when necessary.
  • Work closely with thefront office staff regarding scheduling and patient follow up.
  • Have computer skillsnecessary to complete job requirements i.e. typing, Word, Internet, EMR, etc.
  • Be able to makeindependent decisions regarding patient care
  • Be involved in thebusiness marketing & referral process when necessary
  • Be responsible forfollowing HIPAA policy & procedure
  • Be familiar with PTbilling policy & procedure re : Medicare work-comp, private, auto, liens,cash pay etc.
  • Be proficient in DX andICD-10 coding for the billing of services
  • Be able to be physicalmobile, including a combination of stool sitting, walking, and prolonged standingfor 8-10 hour work days, based on patient care schedule.
  • Be able to lift 50pounds and assist moving patients with mobility restraints, assist patientswith transferring, and providing stand by assistance and recovery with patientwalking safety.

    • Education :

    Degreein Physical Therapy.

    License :

    Must hold active license or plan to test in the near futureto hold license as a Physical Therapist in the state in which you intend towork.

    Certifications :

    BLS / CPR Certification.
