Computer- Operator

We are looking to fill a long-term Contract role as Computer- Operator

Mode of Interview : In person / Webcam

Work Arrangement : Onsite

Work Location : Columbia SC

Shift : EST

Required Qualifications :

• Detail-Oriented : Exceptional focus on monitoring screens, logs, and processes to detect subtle anomalies or errors.
• Troubleshooting : Proven ability to logically assess technical alerts and follow documented procedures accurately under pressure.
• Reliability and Punctuality : Absolute adherence to shift schedules and procedures, recognizing the mission-critical nature of the STO's financial operations.
• Communication : Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal, for documenting incidents and escalating issues to technical staff.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to lift and move computer equipment, boxes, and media (up to 30 pounds) as needed for operational tasks.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent. An Associate's degree or technical certification in Information Technology or a related field is preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a formal data center environment, command center, or network operations center (NOC) role.
• Technical Knowledge : Basic understanding of network topology, server operating systems (Windows Server, Linux), and fundamental job control language (JCL) concepts (or equivalent scripting experience).
• Shift Work : Must be willing and able to work various shifts, including evening / overnight, and be available for on-call duty or mandatory overtime to support 24 / 7 operations.
