Manager Healthcare Consulting (Contract Role)

Client Location / City : Chicago, IL / Others Estimated Hours per Week : 40 hours per role Estimated Start Date : ASAP Proposed Initial Duration : 6-month minimum commitment, with potential to extend Travel Requirement : Yes every other week; locations will vary (most frequent travel to Chicago, IL; Denver, CO; and Lexington, KY) Pay / Benefits : Pay range is $50-$80 per hour. About the Role

This Healthcare Consulting Manager role will specifically support implementation work for Clinical Supplies, Procedural Variation Management, and Purchased Services cost savings opportunities across multiple client sites.

Key Responsibilities

As a contractor in this role, you will :

  • Manage complex, multi-workstream projects and oversee junior team members.
  • Support implementation of initiatives focused on Clinical Supplies, Procedural Variation Management, and Purchased Services cost optimization.
  • Analyze data to identify and implement performance improvement and organizational change opportunities.
  • Develop and execute industry best practices to drive efficiency and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and clients to align initiatives with business objectives.
  • Communicate effectively with project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership.
  • Lead and develop team members through coaching, supervision, and performance feedback.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing healthcare consulting projects or workstreams.
  • Expertise in supply chain management, procedural variation, or purchased services within healthcare settings.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams and managing client relationships.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulatory standards and change management methodologies.
  • Experience with healthcare IT systems, including EMRs and ERPs. Knowledge of Epic Gold EMR and Workday ERP is a plus.
