Experience : Minimum 1 year of acute care experience with skills checklist rating of 4 or higher

License : Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Certifications : BLS required, not expiring within 30 days of start

Must-Have :

• Experience with Activities of Daily Living
• Adult Occupational Therapy experience
• Orthopedic experience
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system
• Ability to handle adult acute therapy including ICU, emergency department, medical-surgical, orthopedic, neurological, and cardiac patients
• Weekend shifts required
• Call required as needed
• Must not be a first-time traveler
• No local candidates accepted

Description :

This position is for an Occupational Therapist in an acute care setting.

The therapist will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to adult patients in various areas such as ICU, emergency department, and medical-surgical units.

Candidates must have a minimum of one year experience in acute care settings with specific skills and competencies.

The role involves assessing patients’ needs, creating and implementing treatment plans, and participating in interdisciplinary care approaches.

The therapist will also engage in patient and family education and will be required to float to different departments as needed.

Attendance during the week of Christmas is mandatory, and no time-off requests will be approved for that week.

Travelers must adhere to compliance and scheduling requirements.
