On-Call Part-Time Custodial Technician

Location : Richmond, Chesterfield, Hanover, and Henrico Area Company : The Kleane Kare Team, Inc.

The Kleane Kare Team, Inc. is seeking dependable and detail-oriented individuals to join our on-call custodial team . This role requires coverage when regular employees are unavailable due to call-outs, absences, or emergencies. Position Overview

As an On-Call Part-Time Custodial Technician , you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within a healthcare facility. You will be called upon to fill shifts on short notice, ensuring our patients, staff, and visitors always experience a hygienic and welcoming space.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and disinfecting
  • Clean restrooms, offices, patient areas, and high-touch surfaces
  • Safely dispose of trash and biohazardous waste
  • Follow infection control standards and facility cleaning protocols
  • Replenish cleaning and restroom supplies as needed
  • Report maintenance issues or safety concerns promptly

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of custodial or janitorial experience ( healthcare setting preferred )
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning / disinfection procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand / bend for extended periods
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
  • Must be reliable and punctual with flexible availability (nights, weekends, and holidays)
  • Must speak, read, and write English effectively
  • High school diploma or equivalent

    • Additional Requirements

  • Must be available on short notice for call-ins
  • Documentation of current influenza vaccination (required for some work locations)
  • Must comply with all company and facility safety and infection control policies

    • Must be able to pass a thorough company and foreign government background check for clearance .
