PCU Registered Nurse Qualifications Minimum 2 years of recent PCU or cardiac stepdown nursing experience Active RN license (compact or Ohio state nursing license required at submission) BLS and ACLS certifications (current) Proficient in IV starts, telemetry, and intermediate care EPIC charting experience required Graduate of an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program Previous travel nurse experience preferred Ability to float to units of equivalent or lower acuity Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only) Two professional references required (at least one from a manager / director or charge RN) Travel Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult patients with cardiac and medical diagnoses, including chest pain, heart failure, EKG changes, and pulmonary embolism Monitor and manage patients in a progressive care setting, utilizing bedside monitors and telemetry Initiate and manage IV insulin drips and cardiac medications Interpret and manage dysrhythmias Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, physical therapy, respiratory, radiology, pharmacy, and rapid response Float to other units as needed based on patient acuity Document patient care accurately using EPIC electronic health records Participate in self-scheduling and work every other weekend Apply now to join our healthcare team and take the next step in your travel nursing career in Columbus, Ohio!
