Overview
Event Technician, Audio Visual - Hotel Polaris at Encore. A Technician is responsible for the setup and operation of basic / small-scale audiovisual systems in a hospitality environment while ensuring customer satisfaction. Reports to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director, Event Technology.
Responsibilities
- Equipment Operation : Ensure a flawlessly executed event through accurate and timely setup, operation, and breakdown of basic audiovisual equipment as listed in the technical qualifications section.
- Customer Service : Strive to exceed the expectations and needs of internal and external customers; maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication; meet with guests on site to ensure needs are met and equipment setup works properly; monitor events and check in on customers throughout the day; foster hotel / client relationships.
- Technical Ability : Understand the technical aspects of the job and demonstrate basic operational ability to troubleshoot and problem solve with equipment and software issues; handle equipment challenges and changes in a timely and professional manner.
- Systems Knowledge : Understand company processes, follow procedures, and complete systems entry and paperwork accurately; use equipment sheets to determine equipment scheduled for setup and strike; interact with staff and outside vendors; utilize floor up-selling techniques; work with clients to finalize invoices; complete order entries in Navigator as needed.
Qualifications

Physical requirements : ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, crawl, kneel, bend, reach, climb, grasp for varying durations; lifting / carrying; auditory / visual demands; pushing / pulling as described. Reasonable accommodations available if needed. Work environment includes hotel / convention center and warehouse / event venues, with irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. May work at multiple locations and be exposed to outdoor temperatures, dirt, sand, and dust; potential heights via lifts and ladders.

Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Pay Range : $18.81 - $20.33. Final compensation based on location, travel, experience, and skills; some positions may include overtime, bonuses, or incentives. Benefits options are available; details provided by Encore.
