Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with active WA license and ARRT (R) certification for an evening shift contract in an acute care setting.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in an acute care hospital radiology department specializing in general X-ray
  • Work in a team covering department X-rays and portable studies, primarily not working alone during evening shift
  • Department includes 4 X-ray rooms, 4 portable units, and 2 fluoro rooms
  • Typical patient volume ranges from 20 to 50 studies per shift
  • Utilizes GE, Siemens, and Shimadzu imaging equipment
  • EMR is Epic; PACS is McKesson
  • Monday to Friday, 3 : 00 pm – 11 : 30 pm evening shifts with minimal call
  • No floating to other modalities or departments required
  • Duties include portable and department-based X-rays for inpatient and ED patients
  • Evening shift is staffed with other technologists; grave shift may not have a lead present
  • In-house radiologist coverage is provided 8am–5pm, off-site reading after hours
  • Department provides scrubs for shift work
  • Candidates may not have been directly employed by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility in the past year
  • Department-specific orientation includes two hours with the manager and two weeks with staff
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Radiology Technologist, with experience in a fast-paced hospital setting preferred
  • Active WA state radiologic technologist license required if applicable
  • Current ARRT (R) certification required
  • Current BLS certification required
  • WA DOH imaging license required
  • COVID-19 vaccination required
  • Must provide own radiation badge; facility does not supply
  • Experience with Epic EMR and McKesson PACS preferred
  • Copy of driver’s license required for consideration
  • Two professional references : one supervisor from past 12 months, one peer or supervisor from past 3 years, with employment dates and rehire eligibility
