Experienced Chemical Process Engineer

Position Summary :

• The experienced Chemical Process Engineer will serve as a resource for the plant, provide both technical and operational expertise to develop processes to transform raw materials into high-quality product while controlling risk associated with chemical manufacturing plant improvements.  Local candidates only, no relocation available.  In This Role, You Will : Provide direct engineering support to plant operations to ensure objectives for the 24 / 7 continuous chemical manufacturing plant are consistently and successfully met.
• Champion process optimization, troubleshoot and resolve complex operational and process issues.  Work closely with Operations Manager and all levels of employees onsite to deliver innovative, safe, and reliable performance solutions and production process improvements.   Translate guidelines and standards into practice, troubleshoot and solve complex technical issues, and recommend cost-effective solutions to elevate the business.  Design and modify process flow diagrams (PFD), process and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) drawings.
• Perform process modeling, hydraulic calculations, and simulations.
• Develop instrument data and specification sheets, complete documentation for the work performed onsite in the plant.
• Facilitate client hazard and operability reviews, hazard analysis review process, and le ad cross functional project team efforts to mitigate risk.
• Identify and evaluate start up process improvements to increase production capacity, improve operating liability, reduce manufacturing costs and energy usage, conserve raw materials, improve both product yields and product quality.  Support annual turnaround event and all major maintenance activities performed onsite.
• Comply with all environmental, health and safety related best practices, policies, and procedures, including process safety management (PSM).  Diligently adhere to and fulfill all Responsible Care ® requirements, demonstrate a steadfast commitment to safety, environmental stewardship, and ethical practices in all aspects of your position within the organization.
