Med / Surg RN Job Details

Location : Le Mars, IA 51031 (Northwest Iowa healthcare jobs)

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Oct 27, 2025 – Jan 26, 2026)

Healthcare Setting : Critical Access Hospital – Emergency Department & Med-Surg

Shift : 12-hour rotating shifts (days / nights), including weekdays, weekends, and holidays

Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1680-$1800

Employment Type : Travel nursing assignment

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Iowa or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent Med / Surg nursing experience

BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)

Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays

Strong clinical assessment, patient care, and critical thinking skills

Med / Surg RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care in Medical-Surgical and Emergency Department settings

Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing procedures as prescribed

Educate patients and families on health conditions, discharge instructions, and ongoing care

Maintain a safe, supportive, and compliant environment for patients and staff
