Responsibilities
As an Operations Specialist, you will provide support to our growing portfolio of residential communities by filling in at properties and lending an extra hand. In a given day, your tasks may include :
- Acts as a Roving Property Manager by filling in at properties in the absence of a manager.
- On assigned properties, directs the day-to-day activities of resident relations, maintenance, inspections, leasing, and other operations.
- Assists in the hiring of new staff for assigned properties.
- Supports properties on-site during openings and takeovers.
- Conducts site visits and completes special projects.
- Provides guidance and assistance to struggling properties, as assigned.
- Maintains customer service and excellent relations with residents, resident cooperatives, commercial tenants, outside agencies or vendors and organizations.
- Ensures compliance with company policy, real estate law and state / federal guidelines.
- Out of state travel required on an as-needed basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
3+ years of industry experience as a Property ManagerBachelor’s degree preferredHigh school diploma or GEDExperience and understanding of Affordable Housing Programs (HUD Programs) is preferredCRM, CAM, COS, or other related professional certification preferred.Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skillsComputer skills : Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, Outlook, Power Point, and Adobe AcrobatKnowledge of Yardi and other Property Management software strongly preferredExceptional communication skills and ability to interact with wide range of peopleMust be organized, detail oriented and have good time management skillsAbility to work a flexible schedule, understanding that your scheduled workdays may vary according to staffing and company needsEntrepreneurial ownership mindset –makes smart decisions for business, puts clients and teammates first, collaborative, inquisitive, self-motivated, and operates on trust (not fear)High integrity – trusted, direct, truthful. Compensation is determined by several factors that vary depending on the position, including the individual’s experience, skills, and the knowledge they bring to the specific role .
