$160,000.00 / yr - $200,000.00 / yr

Interim CFO Opportunity - Publicly Traded Company

Position Details

Position : Interim CFO

Location / Commute : Hybrid in Westchester

Hours : Flexible on start and end times, high likelihood for overtime during quarterly close

Pay Rate : $80-90 / hr, depending on experience

Company Overview

  • Biopharmaceutical company focusing on innovative therapies
  • Recently transitioned to commercial phase with initial product sales
  • Implementing first stock compensation program
  • Team-oriented environment with flexible work arrangements

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of 6 employees
  • Manage SEC reporting for the 10-Q, approving Senior Accountant's footnotes and the internal and external document review
  • Review inventory accounting and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Work directly with external auditors
  • Manage stock compensation
  • Ensure SOX compliance and review controls

    • Qualifications

  • BS in Accounting + CPA
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior-level role including SEC reporting and SOX compliance responsibilities
  • Recent experience (within the last year) with publicly traded companies required
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion is a plus but not required
  • No prior pharmaceutical / biotechnology industry experience necessary, but would be a huge plus
