Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience in high-volume facilities and advanced scanner proficiency.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is based in a large acute care hospital with a 270-bed capacity
  • Work in the CT Scan North unit performing a wide range of diagnostic CT exams, including complex trauma, cardiac, abdominal, pediatric, and geriatric cases
  • High-volume environment averaging 100 scans per day
  • Handles multi-phase imaging and gated cardiac imaging; manages scanners for IR procedures (biopsies, abscess drainage, ablation)
  • Equipment includes GE Revolution EVO, GE LightSpeed, and multiple Siemens SOMATOM series scanners
  • Uses Meditech EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
  • 12-hour day shifts with variable shift lengths
  • Weekend rotation is every other weekend
  • No floating required
  • No call required
  • Holiday coverage is per unit need within the regular staff rotation
  • 4-week scheduling cycle released 6 weeks in advance
  • Support provided by a team lead, manager, and radiologist
  • Orientation consists of New Employee Orientation and 3-4 days of precepted shifts
  • Scrubs are provided in procedural areas; no color preference in other areas
  • Designated parking for employees
  • First-time travelers considered only if previous experience is in a larger institution
  • \n \n Requirements\n

  • At least 2 years of CT experience in a facility larger than a critical access hospital
  • Experience within the last year on GE Revolution EVO or LightSpeed, Siemens SOMATOM Force, Drive, Definition AS, or Edge CT scanners
  • Competence in multi-phase imaging and gated cardiac imaging
  • Current BLS, ARRT-CT certification, and state license required (license required if applicable)
  • Comfort with managing advanced CT scanners for interventional radiology procedures
