Tax Compliance Specialist
This role focuses on income tax compliance and tax accounting while supporting various general accounting functions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of corporate income tax, as well as accounting and financial reporting according to US GAAP and IFRS standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the filing of regular tax returns, with a focus on income tax.
- Manage the calendar of reporting events for tax filings and all census-related submissions.
- Coordinate and manage tax audits, inquiries, and notices from tax authorities.
- Maintain documentation and records related to tax filings, provisions, and other tax-related activities.
- Develop and maintain tax plans, compliance procedures, and risk assessment frameworks to ensure effective tax management.
- Collaborate with headquarters in Germany and other departments such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure alignment and coordination on tax matters.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on tax implications of business decisions.
- Stay updated with changes in tax laws and regulations and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the organization.
- Collaborate with global finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate implementation of tax strategies and policies per national tax compliances.
- Maintain and reconcile tax-related general ledger accounts.
- Monitor and develop internal controls to minimize financial risk and identify areas of opportunity.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of income tax and corporate income tax.Experience with income tax compliance and general accounting functions.Understanding of US GAAP and IFRS standards.Bachelor's degree in Accounting & Finance.5-7+ years of experience in finance or accounting.SAP experience preferred but not required.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.87 - $49.28 / hr.
