Job Description
The Broadcast Video Editor is responsible for the assembly, editing, and distribution of weekly and daily broadcast programs for Joel Osteen Ministries, as well as content for Lakewood Church and Joel Osteen Ministries websites and media platforms. This role works closely with the Broadcast Media team to ensure programs meet deadlines, follow broadcast schedules, and adhere to Lakewood’s production standards. The position also provides editorial and technical support across postproduction and media events.
Essential Job Functions
- Assemble and distribute weekly and daily Joel Osteen Ministries programs, including YouTube and FAST channel (Joel Osteen Network) content
- Collaborate with the Broadcast Traffic Manager, Director of Post Production, and distribution outlets to ensure all programs meet deadlines and broadcast requirements
- Edit and upload videos for the Legal / Copyright team as assigned
- Import, organize, and prepare files from video shoots; maintain proper media file structure and assist producers with locating footage
- Support producers and editors by creating edit projects and following departmental workflows
- Operate cameras and assist with production responsibilities during media events as assigned
- Maintain familiarity with proprietary production processes and department workflows
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy
- Perform other related duties as assigned
