Overview

Infosys is seeking a Java Principal Consultant. The company delivers a global delivery model to provide technology work across locations with focus on quality and cost effectiveness. Services include IT, business process outsourcing, and management services to optimize operations and drive transformation.

The role requires hands-on experience in Java and related technologies to architect and deliver solutions, with a focus on healthcare or insurance clients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide architectural and delivery leadership for Java / ReactJS applications, including microservices and cloud-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, and stakeholders to deliver tailored health system solutions.
  • Contribute to Agile development practices, CI / CD pipelines, unit testing, and deployment automation.
  • Mentor technical teams and guide onsite-offshore coordination as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Hartford, CT or be willing to relocate; travel to project locations may be required.
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent (or three years of progressive experience in lieu of every year of education).
  • 11+ years of experience in Java and ReactJS applications development.
  • Proven experience architecting and delivering solutions for healthcare or insurance clients; ability to work with healthcare providers, payers, and stakeholders.
  • 10+ years of experience in Microservices, Kafka, OAuth 2.0, RESTful APIs, Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS); Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes.
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile development, CI / CD pipelines, Unit Testing (JUnit), and Git / Azure DevOps.
  • Strong experience with Azure cloud services and deployment pipelines; experience in Agile development methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with EHR / EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) or insurance platforms (e.g., Facets, HealthEdge, Guidewire).
  • Exposure to healthcare analytics, claims processing, member / provider portals, or virtual care platforms.
  • Certifications in Java, cloud technologies, or healthcare IT (e.g., HL7, FHIR).
  • Exposure to healthcare analytics, AI / ML, or population health platforms.
  • Experience working in Agile / Scrum environments with onsite-offshore coordination.
  • Experience in leading and guiding technical teams.

    • The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Travel may be required as per job requirements.
