HonorVet Technologies is seeking a local contract nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a local contract nursing job in Baltimore, Maryland.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Specialty : PCU - Progressive Care Unit
  • Discipline : RN
  • Start Date : 10 / 27 / 2025
  • Duration : 14 weeks
  • 36 hours per week
  • Shift : 12 hours, nights
  • Employment Type : Local Contract

Position Requirements :

  • Minimum 1 year of PCU / Telemetry experience
  • Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIH required

    • Unit Overview :

  • 48-bed Cardiac Telemetry (PCU) unit
  • Patients primarily admitted from ED, Cath Lab, and other inpatient units
  • Nurse-to-patient ratio : 4 : 1 (can increase to 5 : 1 based on unit needs)
  • Team nursing approach utilizing PCAs (CNAs) and LPNs
  • Fast-paced unit with quick patient turnover

    • Patient Care Requirements :

  • Comfortable managing patients on drips including Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dopamine, Dobutamine, Nitro, Lasix, and Insulin
  • Post-cardiac cath procedure experience required
  • Timely patient discharge, hourly rounding, and bedside shift report expected

    • Scheduling / Floating :

  • Floating required as needed
  • Every-other-weekend coverage
  • Scheduling based on unit needs
