Position Summary :
The Workers’ Compensation Attorney is responsible for managing a caseload of Pennsylvania workers’ compensation matters from intake through resolution. This role requires a client-focused, result-driven professional who is passionate about advocating for injured workers and delivering exceptional representation.
Qualifications :
- Licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania.
- Active member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar.
- Bilingual (Spanish / English) desirable.
Key Responsibilities :
Legal Representation :Represent clients in workers’ compensation hearings, mediations, and appeals.
Prepare and argue motions, briefs, and other legal documents.Negotiate settlements and resolve liens.Advocate for clients’ rights under the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act.Client Engagement :Speaking with new potential clients and signing up new cases.
Conduct initial consultations and case evaluations at the various firm locations, as well as virtually and by phone, to review facts and develop case strategies.Maintain regular, empathetic, communication with clients.Educate clients on legal processes and case developments.Deliver a 5-Star Client Experience through responsiveness and professionalism.Provide legal guidance and support.Case Management :Manage a high-volume caseload independently.
Coordinate with medical providers and experts.Ensure timely filing of claims, pleadings, and other legal documents.Track deadlines and maintain organized case files.Legal Research & Writing :Conduct legal research on Pennsylvania workers’ compensation statutes and case law.
Draft pleadings, motions, mediation memos, supersedeas responses, briefs, and appellate filings.Stay current with developments in Pennsylvania workers’ compensation law.Team & Firm Participation :Actively participate in team meetings, performance reviews, and firm initiatives.
Contribute to a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.Embody and promote the firm’s Core Values in all interactions.Authority :Exercise independent judgement in legal strategy and case decisions.
Make settlement recommendations and negotiate on behalf of clients.Escalate complex or high-risk matters to executive leadership as needed.May delegate case-related tasks to paralegals and support staff while retaining responsibility for outcomes.No supervisory authority unless explicitly assigned by firm leadership.Physical and Travel Requirements :Frequent travel throughout Pennsylvania for court and client meetings.
Travel throughout York / Dauphin (and west) counties is a must.
Ability to sit, stand, and lift light to moderate objects.Proficient in using legal technology and office equipment.Compensation and BenefitsWe value your hard work and expertise, offering competitive compensation and benefits package :
Total annual compensation ranging from $70,000 - $100,00 (salary + commission structure). Commensurate with experience.
